## 19億円相当の仮想通貨を売却

著名仮想通貨アナリストのアーサー・ヘイズ氏は、過去数日間で約1,300万ドル（約19億円）相当の暗号資産（仮想通貨）を売却し、大部分をステーブルコインUSDCに変えた。ビットコイン（BTC）が10万ドルまで下落する可能性があると意見している。

Lookonchainによると、ヘイズ氏は832万ドル相当のイーサリアム（ETH）、462万ドル相当のエテナ（ENA）、41万4,700ドル相当のペペ（PEPE）を売却した。

ヘイズ氏はこの動きの理由について、米国の関税法案が7～9月期に提出される予定であり、経済への圧力が高まっていることを挙げた。また、NFP（非農業部門雇用者数）発表後、市場は米国経済の成長率が十分ではないと考えているようだとも続けた。

7月のNFPは、新規雇用者数が7万3,000人で予想を大きく下回り、関税導入と名目GDP成長率の鈍化に対する懸念を新たに引き起こしたところだ。

ヘイズ氏は、主要経済国はGDPを押し上げるのに十分な速さで信用を拡大していないとも述べた。

これらのことを踏まえて、ビットコインは10万ドル、イーサリアムは3,000ドルまで下落する可能性があるとしている。なお、記事執筆時点で、ビットコインは約11万5,000ドル、イーサリアムは約3,500ドルだ。

ヘイズ氏は、詳しくは8月25日に東京で開催される「WebX」の講演で話すとも示唆した。「WebX」はCoinPostが企画・運営するアジア最大級のWeb3ビジネスカンファレンスである。8月25日〜26日にかけて「ザ・プリンス パークタワー東京」にて開催される。

ヘイズ氏は、長期的な予想については先月、2025年末の目標価格として、強気にビットコイン25万ドル、イーサリアム1万ドルを掲げていたところだ。

ビットコインをめぐっては現在、今サイクルの強気相場がピークを迎えたのか、単に調整局面にあるだけなのかという議論が巻き起こっている。

ブルームバーグのETF（上場投資信託）アナリストのエリック・バルチュナス氏は、ブラックロックが2023年半ばにビットコイン現物ETFを申請して以来（その後2024年1月より上場）、ビットコインのボラティリティが低下していると指摘した。

ブロックウェア・ソリューションズのミッチェル・アスキュー氏もこの見解に賛同し、ビットコインに「放物線状の強気相場と壊滅的な弱気相場」が交互に訪れるという時代は終わったかもしれないとの見解を述べている。

ビットコイン現物ETFとは

ビットコインを投資対象に含んだ上場投資信託（Exchange Traded Fund）のこと。実際にビットコインを購入し、そのビットコインを基にした信託（ETF）を株式市場で取引するもの。投資家は直接ビットコインを購入することなく、その価値に投資することが可能になる。

ETFの他、ストラテジー社などビットコイン財務戦略を採用する企業の増加も、ボラティリティ低下の背景にある。機関投資家は7月時点で、流通しているビットコインの推定約4分の1を保有しているとみられるところだ。

一方で、規模の小さなビットコイン・トレジャリー（財務戦略）企業の増加は、市場が下落した時にそれらの企業による売り圧加速につながるリスクがあるとの指摘もある。
