BTC Market Insights and Corporate Holdings Update August 5, 2025. Insider Whales Increase BTC Short Positions. According to ODaily News’ on-chain analyst Yu Jin, an influential insider whale has once again become active in BTC short positions. Analyzing the current BTC market dynamics, it can be understood that on the one hand, large whales are taking short positions, while on the other hand, corporate institutions are increasing long-term holdings. This indicates that despite the confusion in the market, long-term confidence in Bitcoin is still intact. Initially, the whale had a short position of about $300 million. This fell below $100 million due to multiple liquidations. However, after the latest market decline, he increased his position again to $132 million.
This clearly indicates that even large players are now in the dark about the price of BTC and more volatility may come in the market.
Currently, hundreds of publicly listed companies around the world hold a large amount of Bitcoin. Total corporate Bitcoin holdings in these companies: 955,526 BTC. This represents about 4.55% of the total circulating supply of Bitcoin. Estimated market value: $93 billion. Corporate reserves as digital assets have exceeded $100 billion.
